Here’s everything you need to know about our reinterpretation of this classical IP
Once upon a time, in a land of enchanted castles and gleaming gems, a tale everyone knows took an unexpected turn.
What if the love story of Beauty and the Beast didn’t go quite as planned?
That’s the question we asked ourselves, and the answer became Beauty and the Beast – Once Upon a Mess: an exhilarating side story, a whimsical ride through a world of mishaps and mayhem.
We’re proud to announce our latest original CGI production, Beauty and the Beast – Once Upon a Mess — a reinterpretation of one of the world’s most beloved stories.
In this irreverent retelling, Belle and her Prince are living their “happily-ever-after” — until one day, while spring-cleaning the castle, a mischievous magpie swoops in and steals the magical gem that keeps the Prince in human form.
Suddenly, the peace is shattered, and the Prince turns back into a Beast!
From there, it’s a chase full of aerial acrobatics, comic mayhem inspired by slapstick comedies, and pure wonder, set in a cottage-core atmosphere where winter gently gives way to spring. Belle, the Beast, and the magpie embark on a frantic race to recover the gem — but who will get it in the end?
Beauty and the Beast – Once Upon a Mess is available in 5D, VR, Dome, and Fly formats. Each version was crafted with one goal in mind: to make every viewer, whether seated, standing, or soaring, feel like they’re part of the action.
“We wanted to reimagine a timeless story through a modern lens, one that speaks to today’s audiences while staying true to the charm of the original tale,” says Valeria Rizzo, our Chief Brand Officer.
“With Beauty and the Beast – Once Upon a Mess, we combined humor, emotion, and visual spectacle to deliver an experience that feels both familiar and completely new. It’s the kind of story that reminds us why people fall in love with storytelling in the first place.”
At the heart of every story we create lies a simple yet powerful belief: even the shortest ride should make people feel something real. For us, storytelling is what gives motion its meaning — it’s the spark that turns movement, color, and chaos into emotion.
With Beauty and the Beast – Once Upon a Mess, we shaped every turn, every laugh, every transformation with that in mind. Movement had to thrill, but never without purpose. Gags had to land, but always in service of the story. Because when guests leave a ride smiling, it’s not only because they flew, spun, or slid — it’s because, for a few minutes, they lived a story worth remembering.
